An introduction to anti-wrinkle treatments
Anti-wrinkle injections use botulinum toxin to temporarily relax the muscles that cause expression lines. When the muscle is less active, the skin above it doesn't crease the same way. Existing lines soften, and new ones don't deepen as quickly.
The treatment itself takes about ten minutes. A series of small injections delivered with a fine needle into specific muscles, most commonly the forehead, the frown lines between the brows, and the crow's feet at the corners of the eyes. There's no sedation, no downtime, no recovery. You walk out of the appointment and back into your day. The result develops gradually over five to fourteen days.
